12 Days of Anime Introduction 2017

12 Days of Anime

A New Beginning

After stumbling across this annual tradition in the anime blogging community, I have been debating for nearly six months about whether or not I was going to do it for myself. I’m not the best when it comes to posting regularly, but I finally decided why the hell not. This is going to be my first 12 Days of Anime, and hopefully, it will become something I do regularly every year. Because at the end of the day, I love writing.

I’m sure some of the people reading this have no idea who I am, so I guess I should introduce myself real quick. My real name is Nigel, but I go by Naijeru in most places on the internet. While my primary interest is anime, I do also enjoy light novels and the occasional manga. My favorite series of all-time is Hyouka, and many other favorites of mine are also part of the slice-of-life genre. If you would like to know more about me, feel free to hit me up on Twitter~

What is the “12 Days of Anime” Tradition?

The 12 Days of Anime is an annual tradition in the anime community where participants create either a video, blog post, tweet, etc., every day for the twelve consecutive days leading up to Christmas. These are posted starting December 14th, with the last one being posted on Christmas (December 25th). Each post should talk about a moment in anime this year that really impacted them. It doesn’t necessarily have to be from a series that aired this year, but in the case of my participation, it will be.

Anyone and everyone is encouraged to participate, and you can join in even after December 14th has come and gone! For more information, here are some useful links as to how you can join in and register:
